Medieval England Boss Battle

Some of the many hub areas in Chronopolis feature a secret boss battle! To unlock the hidden boss, complete all the quests, races, puzzles, ect! Boss Battles will appear as a BOOM! icon on your map.

The Tinkerer? Really? This is the “big bad” of Merry Ol’ England? An old man with a penchant for technology? Still, I want some revenge upon him after that horrid Oscorp Labs puzzle, so I’ll be happy to bash his ancient face in… except he’s not alone.

That’s right: one of the Tinkerer’s creations is here to protect him, and that’s the real fight. Stay out of the way of his laser blasts and shoot at him when he’s not firing them at you. Eventually you’ll whittle him down until he shuts down, at which point a cannon (and later 2 cannons) come out of his shoulders to be destroyed. In between these will be waves of Kree soldiers providing support. Be aware of where they are, because sometimes one will get trapped behind the Sentry and he’ll remain invulnerable until you’ve killed all of them. Repeat the cycle a few times and you’ll have the Sentry down and be able to give Tinkerer a few satisfying punches to clear out the boss of the zone.

Medieval England Missions

Quests will appear on your map screen as small text bubble icons. Some missions may appear as locked icons, these are missions that require you to complete other missions in the hub area, or elsewhere in Chronopolis to unlock.

Troll’s Toll

  • Unlocks: Greenskyn Smashtroll

Apparently Smashtroll’s revelry can be quite… destructive, and Smashtroll had quite the night last night. Now he’s seeking redemption, but he fears the people will not receive him well. Join Smashtroll on his quest to make amends, following his trail of destruction through Medieval England. First you’ll repair a barrel pyramid by levitating the pieces into place. Next, rebuild a broken cart. Finally, dig up a commoner who got stuck in the ground. Smashtroll is so happy with your help that he swears himself to your cause.

Moaner the Vampire

  • Unlocks: Morbius

(NOTE: This mission is unavailable until Mission: Pyramid-Life Crisis in Egypt is completed) Morbius has been locked up in Medieval England, but the lock is a bit more sophisticated than you’d expect. Help him break out, beginning with shooting the guard who locked him up, revealing a dig pile. Dig up a chest, which breaks into pieces that form a switch, releasing the first lock. The second lock can be released by tracing a rune, revealing the second switch. While you were doing that, the guard returned to his post. He’s no trouble, but there’s a tracker mark in front of him. Follow the trail to reveal the third switch. Another tracker mark will appear after you flip the third switch, leading you to the fourth one. With Morbius freed, he can start on his work helping monsters like himself and Living Mummy become accepted, leading to Gwenpool Mission #6.

An American Cap-Wolf in England

  • Unlocks: Cap-Wolf

It’s the dashing do-gooder, in werewolf style! Even as a werewolf, Cap wants to get rid of trouble. In this case, he is trying to chase some thieves off, but he can’t find them and the locals are too afraid of him to help. Seek out information from the locals so Cap can find the bad guys instead of chasing his own tail.

Royal Rampage

  • Unlocks: King Arthur Pendragon

Defeating the Black Knight has been King Arthur’s big claim to fame, but since it took a group of heroes to defeat the most recent version of the villain, Arthur feels he needs to prove himself in other ways, namely fighting a dragon. To prepare for dragon-slaying, he asks for you to join him on a crusade to free England and Chronopolis of criminals. Follow Arthur as he dispatches groups of enemies. Most of the groups are simple baddies, with one or two flame-throwers or swordsmen thrown in. The Kingdom will be clean of evil in no time!

The Sorcerer’s Stones

  • Unlocks: Merlin

(NOTE: This mission is unavailable until you have completed the mission Royal Rampage). Arthur’s campaign to slay a dragon continues, but Merlin fears for his safety. He had planned to slide the “Merlin stones” into Arthur’s garb, which would render him invincible, but he can’t remember where he put them. Since you already helped Arthur prepare for dragon-slaying, Merlin hopes you’ll help him find the stones. Search high and low for the ten stones, which range in location from Nueva York to Manhattan. Returning the stones progresses Arthur’s preparation for his hunt, leading to Gwenpool Mission #3.

Percival Vendetta

  • Unlocks: Black Knight (Sir Percy)

You previously defeated Black Knight Nathan Garrett and Enchantress, but Sir Percy (the good Black Knight) has a feeling they will be seeing a new hideout in the expanded world of Chronopolis. Join him to hunt down the fiendish duo. You’ll know you’re on the right trail as you encounter a few waves of minions, before culminating in a battle against Garrett and Enchantress. Defeat them to unlock the good Black Knight with the awesome sword.

Medieval England Puzzles

Puzzles will appear on your map as green puzzle pieces. These puzzles require a whole host of abilities or characters to solve, and usually unlock Gold Bricks! Here is a recap of this area’s puzzles:

This Little Piggy Went Jousting

  • Unlocks: Gold Brick

You would expect some sort of jousting challenge to put in an appearance in Medieval England, but I bet you didn’t expect to ride a pig! Hop on the pig and aim at your target. If the aimed reticule is dim in color, you’re not hitting him and you’ll wind up flying off of your pig. If it lights up, your aim is true and that little piggy will go to market (This also counts towards the Minigame Master challenge).

Armor Fit For a King

  • Unlocks: Gold Brick

The blacksmith needs some aid with his fancy new forge and you get to be his new assistant. Add the proper ingredients to the forge by breaking open a box of gems, cutting gold out of a nearby wall, and levitating electric clippers to shear the sheep. Levitate the ingredients into the forge and then provide power to the newly opened electrical panel. The result: armor fit for a king! And a gold brick for your troubles.

Re-henging the Stones

  • Unlocks: Gold Brick

What would Medieval England be without some sort of Stonehenge? Unfortunately, the installers got this one wrong, leaving a local citizen disgruntled about it. Help fix the stones with a combination of levitation, rope pulls, builds, and finally a rune trace. Get it right and a gold brick is your reward.

Brunswick Stew

  • Unlocks: Gold Brick

There’s really no setup for this puzzle, so I spent the first half of it wondering what I was doing. Put out the fire beneath the pot, then break open the crate to the right side. That reveals a clue for tracking. Next, use strength to open the door on the right, revealing a supply of crystals for the pot, and vine cut the area on the left to find mushrooms. Levitate these ingredients into the pot. On the left side is a frozen door. Melt the door and then use strength to open it. Melt the piles of meat inside for another ingredient to add to the pot. Your stew is now done and it yields… a gold brick? Man, this recipe should be known by more people!

Lovers Reunited

  • Unlocks: Gold Brick

At the top of the tower is a lad waiting for his lady fair. She, however, is a bit afraid of climbing. He encourages you to help her. Before she can progress, however, she needs a decent path to climb. Use time magic on the vine on the side of the building. First, reverse time, revealing a cart behind the vine. Push that clear, then advance time so the vine forms a ladder. Push the cart to the end of the push track and it becomes a ladder. Go down to the woman and you’ll see you still don’t have a full course. Nearby is a dig pile. Dig that up and it becomes a switch to turn on platforms on the lower part of the tower. But what’s this? She’s still afraid? Well, you did promise to help her. Use mind control magic to take her over and make the jumps yourself. Soon she shall be reunited with her love, and who’s to criticize that it took a bit of mind control to make it happen?

Mechanical Horse Motorcycle Repair

  • Unlocks: Gold Brick

Can you help repair a mechanical horse motorcycle? With a name like that, how can you not? Help find the missing pieces strewn about. You’ll break some crates to reveal a shield throwing point. Aim your shield at the bumper inside the stables to bounce off, hit the shield switch, and open the doors. Then break the silver lock to turn into more pieces of the horse. With the door open, you can push the power supply into place. On the other side of the yard, break the silver bricks blocking the shield switch, then hit that to open the far doors. Inside is the motorcycle’s rocket. With all the pieces in place, you get a gold brick, an unlocked air race, and a mechanical horse motorcycle you can ride any time you like.

Imprisoned Brick

  • Unlocks: Gold Brick

On the top platform of the castle is a gold brick behind bars. Smash all you want, you’re not going to find a way to release it. Equally frustrating is that Ant-Man or Ms. Marvel can’t simply go between the bars, Hulk can’t tear them down, etc. Instead, there’s an incredibly well-hidden power supply feeding to the bars.

Hidden on the back of this walkway, found behind and below the cell, is a switch. Smash crates to get to it, then charge it up to release the bars and get your brick.

Sunken Sarcophagus

  • Unlocks: Gold Brick

Along the backside of the moat surround the castle you’ll find a dig pile in the water. Dig on it to reveal a buried sarcophagus, with a gold brick inside instead of a mummy.

Medieval England Races

Races will appear on your map as a checkered flag icon. Some races require specific vehicles or abilities (like flight or web swing). Here is a full recap of this hubs races:

Acrobatic Race

  • Unlocks: Gold Brick

Oddly, this race shows up as a puzzle on the map, but it’s definitely a race. You have 50 seconds to make it through the obstacle course, which requires climbing, platform jumping, and acrobatics. It’s not a tough course, but one wrong move could send you falling from the rooftops and having to start over again.

Boat Race

  • Unlocks: ?

This mission requires a boat in order to participate.

Flying Race

  • Unlocks: Kang Minion

NOTE: This race is not available until you have constructed the mechanical horse motorcycle. This race requires a flying vehicle to participate, but it must be a vehicle, not a flying character. Navigate your way through 30 targets around the castle, avoiding walls that do damage to your craft. Win the race and you get one of Kang’s minions to control.

Medieval England Gwenpool Mission

Some areas of Chronopolis have Gwenpool Missions hidden away that require you to beat main missions in other hubs. Here’s a recap for this hub’s Gwenpool missions:

Gwenpool Mission 2 Dude Where's My Dragon Walkthrough LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 2

You’ve helped Arthur prepare for a fight against a dragon – now see the quest out! See our guide for more information on Gwenpool Mission #3.

Medieval England Stan Lee Rescue

Stan Lee is in trouble and he needs your help! Find him on the map by locating the Stan Lee icon. You can typically hear him crying out for help when you are close by! Here’s how to save Stan in this Chronopolis Hub area:

It’s Medieval England and Stan has landed in the stocks. You have to wonder what a comic book creator could have done to wind up in such a predicament, but that’s not our job; we simply have to rescue him. Behind the stock to the right of Stan’s is a dig pile. Dig up the blocks and build a push switch with them, then push it to free Lee. Hopefully whatever he did to deserve such punishment won’t happen again. An interesting note, there’s a crate of apples nearby that you can use levitate magic on to throw at the other prisoners. Not exactly heroic, but still fun.

Medieval England Challenge Items

Chronopolis is packed with fun challenges that allow you to unlock vehicles. These challenges can be very difficult to complete! Here’s a list of all the Challenge items we’ve found in this Chronopolis hub:

  • Billboard: Above the tunnel leading from Medieval England to Nueva York
  • Dynasty Downer: There is a statue of Kang on one of the independent towers of the keep
  • Minigame Master: Pig Jousting
  • Tiddles: On a bridge within the keep walls, near Morbius’s mission.
  • Trivia Time: On the upper level of the keep walls, near Morbius’s mission.
  • Vistas Not To Be Missed-a: Atop one of the castle’s towers.
