Wakanda Boss Battle

Some of the many hub areas in Chronopolis feature a secret boss battle! To unlock the hidden boss, complete all the quests, races, puzzles, ect! Boss Battles will appear as a BOOM! icon on your map.

After you finish the rest of Wakanda’s missions and puzzles you’ll find this fearful final foe waiting for you. He’s a bit tougher than many of the other hub bosses, if only because the waves of minions he calls upon to help him are all tougher enemies that can’t be easily taken out, and he’s invulnerable until they are gone. Focus on the minions, then the boss, but watch out. After you’ve gotten to pummel on him for a few minutes he’ll turn toxic, making escape nearly impossible until you’ve died a time or two… unless you’re smart enough to grab a hero that can stand up to that. As usual, repeat the cycle a few times and you’ll have this boss beaten.

Wakanda Missions

Quests will appear on your map screen as small text bubble icons. Some missions may appear as locked icons, these are missions that require you to complete other missions in the hub area, or elsewhere in Chronopolis to unlock.

Shuri You Can’t Be Serious

  • Unlocks: Shuri

With Black Panther helping the Avengers deal with Kang, it falls on his sister, Shuri, to keep Wakanda safe. Accompany Shuri on her patrol of the area, fending off Kang’s forces, aliens, and Hydra agents attempting to steal more vibranium. Shuri’s patrol will take you through a lot of other puzzles and challenges, so make sure you’re focusing on the task at hand and not getting distracted by some other puzzle’s goals.

Milk ‘N’ Cookie

  • Unlocks: Blade

Blade, half-vampire vampire slayer, and Hellcow, half-vampire cow may make an unlikely team, but there’s a hell of a story as to how they came to be. Unfortunately you won’t get to hear it, as Blade’s telling gets interrupted by an onslaught of enemies. Take out 30 foes alongside Blade and Hellcow, some of which prove to be some of the tougher enemies (with electrical generators). In return, Blade makes himself available if you need him. It will take something more to get the aid of Hellcow though.

A Pizza the Action

  • Unlocks: America Chavez

(NOTE: This mission is unavailable until other missions in Wakanda have been completed) America Chavez wants to put together a sampler platter of all of the pizza across Chronopolis to determine which is the best. Fly around to ten different locations to collect samples of pizza from ten different city areas, then return to America with your platter in tow.

Vibranium Obtanium

  • Unlocks: Arnim Zola

Similar to the mission you receive to advance the storyline when you first arrive in the Hydra Empire, the Vibranium Deposit Receptacle requires ten samples of vibranium. This time the samples are going to Wakanda instead of Hydra, and the reward is gratitude instead of permitting access. However, this time the vibranium samples are spread across the world of Chronopolis instead of just the local area. Zoom around to get the samples and then return to the receptacle to get your reward.

Wakanda Puzzles

Puzzles will appear on your map as green puzzle pieces. These puzzles require a whole host of abilities or characters to solve, and usually unlock Gold Bricks! Here is a recap of this area’s puzzles:

Arbor Up!

  • Unlocks: Gold Brick

This Wakandan citizen needs help moving trees to their proper location in this three tier structure. Push the tree block to the elevator and then move them up to the necessary level. Here’s a hint – the first tree you have access to (on a yellow base) is the one you need for the first level, but you have to get the other trees out of the way first. Get all three into place to earn your reward.

This Little Piggy Got Lost…

  • Unlocks: Gold Brick

pig-wakanda-lego-marvel-super-heroes-2You would think someone raising pigs in the Wakandan jungle would be a bit more careful about what could get to them. Unfortunately, no. This citizen has lost five pigs and is seeking your help to get them back. You have to find all five pigs and then get them to a position where you can ride them back to the pen.

  • The easiest to find is the first pig, who is lounging in a puddle right next to the pig pen. Give them incentive to leave the cool water by knocking a berry off of the tree above it.
  • Next is another pig lounging in a puddle on the other side of the road from the pen. Break a barrel of parts next to the water to build a drone that removes the pig from the water.
  • The third pig is just up the road from the second one, trapped underneath some brush. Destroy the brush and you can ride the pig to freedom.
  • Go back across the road from the third pig and you’ll find the fourth one… in a tree. We won’t ask how he got there. You’ll need to break the flowers at the end of the tree to reveal a rope pull that you can use to get the pig down.
  • Finally, the fifth pig has gotten into an even bigger predicament than the one up a tree: He’s in the jaws of the golden jaguar statue across the road from the pig pen. Melt the golden teeth holding him in place and then ride him back to complete the task.

Jungle Treasure

  • Unlocks: Gold Brick

This puzzle would barely be noticeable if it didn’t show up on the map with a puzzle piece icon. Like many of the trees in the forested part, this tree has a breakable flower built under it. Destroy this one and you’ll find a dig pile, which holds a treasure chest. Open the chest to get your gold brick. A simple, but well-hidden puzzle.

Let the Flag Fly!

  • Unlocks: Gold Brick

Atop the buildings of Wakanda you’ll find this structure with a button on the side of it and both a gold brick container and fallen flag on the top. You’ll actually need three buttons to light up the symbol of Wakanda on the side of the building and raise the flag. The first button can be activated by an electrical charge panel on the top of the building, towards the rear. The second button is already there for you, and the third requires breaking the silver block statue seen in the picture, which opens up a vent a small character can fit through. On the other side of the vent is a tech panel that activates the third button. Then press all three buttons to raise the colors of Wakanda and open the container.

It Makes Sense Because It’s Made From Vibranium

  • Unlocks: Gold Brick

This golden brick, found on the back side of the structures of Wakanda, is designed for Captain America’s shield (because he was such a big part of Wakanda before its relocation to Chronopolis, right?). Melting the gold statue on the left side will give you parts to build a lever on that platform, allowing you to push it around to reveal a shield bumper. On the right side, destroy the floor and you’ll get parts to add a shield bumper to the column there. Step back and you’ll find another bumper and a shield platform to stand on. Aim your shield to bounce off the bumpers and get your prize!

Statue of the Apes

  • Unlocks: Gold Brick

On the back side of Wakanda a young man is trying to build a statue to the White Ape-God, but lost his pieces. Never fear – they haven’t gone far. Destroy the plant to the right of him to reveal a dig pile, which has the statue’s head. To the left of him you’ll see another piece of the statue stuck in the tree – you just have to cut the vine holding it. Freeing those two parts will reveal a clue that can be tracked to lead you to a pile of bricks for the third part. Then it’s just a matter of levitating the pieces to put the whole thing together. Do yourself a favor, however, and destroy the flower pot on the platform before trying to put the statue pieces there.

And You Thought Broken Lobster Cages Were Bad

  • Unlocks: Gold Brick

Wakanda is supposed to be a land of advanced technology, but advanced doesn’t always mean working. Take this lobster crane, for instance. It’s supposed to help the fisherman retrieve the lobster crates without going into the water, but it’s not working. Repair the crane and then use it to haul up three crates from the nearby water. One of the crates will contain a gold brick treasure with which he’s happy to reward you, although I don’t think any lobster are to be found.

Maybe Do Go Chasin’ Waterfalls

  • Unlocks: Gold Brick

The map indicator for this puzzle places it surrounded by nothing, but a wary adventurer will notice it also indicates the brick is blow your current location. The only way to get there is through the nearby water. Look at one of the waterfalls and you’ll notice a rune pad and door behind it. Swim through the waterfall, trace the rune, and unlock a chamber on the other side:

Start by using the clue indicated in the picture to track a handle for that second wheel. That gives you access to the second and third wheels, but what about the first and fourth? Well, you have to use time magic on the whole front section to get access to those. Going back in time restores the dais and the fourth wheel, while going forward in time has the plants take over the area and fills in the hole in front of the first. That means you’ll only have access to one of those controls at a time. In front of the cat statues you’ll see combinations for the symbols that the controls change. Match the symbols with the statue on the left side of the photo above (behind you when you’re at the controls) to get your prize.

Wakanda Races

Races will appear on your map as a checkered flag icon. Some races require specific vehicles or abilities (like flight or web swing). Here is a full recap of this hubs races:

Wakanda has no races specific to this hub.

Wakanda Gwenpool Mission

Some areas of Chronopolis have Gwenpool Missions hidden away that require you to beat main missions in other hubs. Here’s a recap for this hub’s Gwenpool missions:

There is no Gwenpool mission related to Wakanda.

Wakanda Stan Lee Rescue

Stan Lee is in trouble and he needs your help! Find him on the map by locating the Stan Lee icon. You can typically hear him crying out for help when you are close by! Here’s how to save Stan in this Chronopolis Hub area:

Stan is up a tree again, literally this time. The comic book creator is hanging from a vine in a tree, while a pack of panthers has gathered below him. Scare off the panthers, then climb up and cut the vine, setting Stan Free. He claims to have no idea how he got up there, but we bet it will make one heck of a story if he ever chooses to tell it.

Wakanda Challenge Items

Chronopolis is packed with fun challenges that allow you to unlock vehicles. These challenges can be very difficult to complete! Here’s a list of all the Challenge items we’ve found in this Chronopolis hub:

  • Announcer Trouncer: There is a speaker on the front of the royal palace.
  • Billboard Day: There is a billboard on top of the building closest to Medieval England
  • Top Hat Toppler: There are two top hats in Wakanda. One on the head of the giant jaguar made up by the mountain, and a second one on a panther statue in the front hub of the area (near the computer console for the area).

Secrets & Easter Eggs

  • In the mission “Milk ‘N’ Cookie” Blade talks about how the “world got flipped turned upside-down” – a reference to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
